Are you feeling stressed out, lonely and depressed? You are not alone. Thousands of people around the world are probably feeling the same way every single day. It is a fact that we are surrounded by tragedy, bad news, and trauma that we often get exposed to negative emotions all day long. Not surprisingly, so many people suffer from depression and other mental illnesses because of that. Many people are now visiting their doctor more often and are prescribed with antidepressants and other ‘soul curing’ medications. Many of them have serious side effects and need to be taken long term. Is this something you really want to do? Probably not, most people prefer to use a natural method whenever possible.

You can afford to reach more than one day

You can afford to reach more than one goal day. If your goals are or become complex, you will need to reduce that number. We will now focus on time-based goals. When you set a goal, the amount of time you spend reaching it will greatly affect the outcome you will get at the end.

There are 4 types of goals: stepping stones, short-term goals, long-term goals, and life goals.

When people say they have “too many goals/things to do” they mostly talk about the last two types. Long-term goals and life goals. These are the only types of goals where you have to be careful not to let yourself be overwhelmed by them. If you have too many short-term goals, for example, you will be overwhelmed and you will fail on some. However, you can always retest them later when you have better understood your personal limits. This is not the case for long-term or life goals, which will take up all your time and whose outcome will remain uncertain for a long time. This will not allow you to move on or report your mistakes easily.


The one thing you haven’t done that you really want to do

The one thing you haven’t done that you really want to do is almost more likely to be a life goal that will take you between 10 years and all your life to reach them. The best way to find this one thing is to project into the future and imagine what you would like to become. What has your future accomplished for you? Are you happy with what you have? Are you single or did you start a family? Do you live a rich life or just a comfortable normal life? What do you say about your future and your environment?

When you imagine the future version of yourself, you are indirectly resurrecting your life goal. The objective you’ve always wanted to achieve that you have always thought about and that is very important to you may have a lot of obstacles. And if you reach it, then it will allow you to make that vision of the future a reality and transform yourself into that person. My life goal is, of course, different today than it will be in 10 or 20 years. It is normal that our thoughts evolve over time. However, this change does not happen quickly; maybe in the next 5 years you will want to change your life objective a bit and that’s a good thing. This one thing you always wanted to do encompass all the other goals you will set for yourself during your life. Of course, you will need both long-term goals and short-term goals to get started and move toward your goal.

But, first!

To achieve your goals, it is essential to be able to overcome the obstacles and difficulties that we must all face in order to progress and move forward. No matter what your goal is, no matter what you are trying to accomplish, you must be ready to face anything that gets in your way. You must be ready to fight for your dreams. However, before you can confront the enemy, you must first identify him. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy for everyone. In the face of doubt and uncertainty, it is difficult to look at things clearly and discerningly.

The most obvious option at these times is to give up, but the truth is that these obstacles are only there to test our determination and our willingness to get to the bottom of things. Whatever happens.

Let’s see together what the biggest obstacles we all face at one time or another are:

  1. The lack of clarity

The first necessary step to get everything you want in life is this: determine exactly what you want.  If you do not take a clear direction from the beginning, you will quickly lose yourself. There is nothing worse than feeling lost, wandering in the fog without knowing what direction to take. Without prior reflection, no accomplishment is possible. Thus, it is essential that you take the time to think about what you want to accomplish, the goal you want to achieve. Once your goal is identified, begin to put in place an effective strategy that will allow you to reach your goal quickly and without scattering in all directions. This will save you a lot of time and save you a lot of defeats and a lot of unnecessary failures. So, always make clarity your greatest ally.

  1. Perfectionism

There is only one way to learn and it is through action. To want everything to be perfect before acting is for me the best way to do nothing. It is true that we all want to do things well, not to make mistakes. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. All we can do is give the best of ourselves and continue to improve day after day. Because if we do not act, we cannot progress, we cannot become better. To wait for everything to be perfect is to condemn oneself to failure. The longer you wait, the longer you put things off, the lower your motivation goes and dissipates, leaving only a semblance of a dream to hang on to. No matter what you want to accomplish, never wait for everything to be perfect. But, on the contrary, ACT and keep improving and progressing each day. After all, that’s all we can do…

  1. Fear

The only limit to our future growth will be our doubts today.  Many people find themselves paralyzed by fear. A lot of people spend their time imagining scenarios that in most cases will never see the light of day. There is nothing worse than looking back and realizing that you have missed your chance. Do not let fear stop you from living your dreams. Never let fear stop you from doing what you love.

Never let fear keep you from becoming the person you want to be. It is true that we all feel fear from time to time. It’s perfectly normal, it’s human. However, you must have the courage to face it. Overcome it. Most of the time, it takes only a single step for the fear to disappear. So, always identify a little action you can take right now to eliminate fear and get closer to the one thing you always wanted to do. It will make all the difference.
